Abstract: Hypertension is a state of ongoing increase in blood pressure that is gradually in the normal range which results in an increase in systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and an increase in diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg. Yoga gymnastics is an activity of merging or focusing the body, mind and soul that combines relaxation techniques, and breathing and meditation, yoga exercises are highly recommended for people who are experiencing hypertension, especially in the elderly because it can relax so as to facilitate blood circulation to all parts of the body. The purpose of this study was to analyze the occurrence of changes in blood pressure in the elderly who experience hypertension at the nursing home of the foundation foundation in 2020. Researchers used a type of pre-experimental research which used a one group pretest-posttest method, and a sample of 20 respondents and by using non-probability sampling techniques, namely the purposive sampling method. The results of the value of this study are to show that there is a decrease in the level of hypertension in the elderly through yoga exercises with a total value of p value = 0,000 through the Wilcoxon rank test. Based on the research results obtained, it is expected that elderly people who experience hypertension can make yoga exercises as a non-paharmacological management to reduce high blood pressure.
